Fashion Runway Production Afterschool Programs (Winter & Spring 2026)
Evening Sessions (Wednesdays 5-6:30pm) & Morning Sessions (Saturdays 10-11:30am)
For six weeks, kids will dream, sketch, and bring their designs to life—turning deadstock fabrics and pre-loved garments into stunning, one-of-a-kind runway looks. From hand and machine sewing to embroidery, painting, upcycling (think pants into tops, tops into skirts), creating appliqués, and designing accessories—they’ll transform waste into wonder.
But this class goes far beyond fashion and fun (though we promise there’s plenty of both!). It’s about:
- Artistic freedom: Being unapologetically yourself.
- Intentionality: Learning slow fashion and caring for people and the planet.
- Life skills: Creative problem-solving, teamwork, communication, leadership, resilience, and persistence.
- Connection: A tech-free environment where kids collaborate and grow, guided by caring instructors who are not only skilled but deeply passionate about youth development and lifelong learning.
Students will be invited to participate in our Spring Runway Show on May 17 on the CCAD Campus.
Columbus Fashion Academy is proud to be
the pioneers of sustainable fashion education for kids in Ohio, starting with just two students back in 2017. Today, our programs serve youth from more than 10 school districts and have attracted families beyond Central Ohio. We are honored to continue inspiring confidence, creativity, and purpose in every child who walks through our doors.
